TLab 1.5 jar file
TLab 1.5 fixed zip file
TLab is just a simple application developed for the Java Microedition platform. This is the first version and so, contains some bugs which I myself is aware of. This application has the ability to translate class files as well as text files. With this application, most of the bugs related to translation have been eliminated. Some of the special characters also have been well handled.
PROS:
[1] Translate a whole class file without going through some tedius work.
[2] Robust translation engine.
[3] Ability to translate to and from many languages.
[4] Ability to translate text files despite encoding barriers.
CONs:
[1] Inability to translate very large text files; this however depends on the phones memory capabilities.
[2] Some languages are not supported at the moment.
As mentioned above, the application has some few bugs that needs to be addressed and is far from attaining perfection. Enabling Automation will give you the ability to translate the whole file automatically. You can read the instructions for more details. The encoding sets used by the Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Bengali languages are not supported neither by the J2ME language nor on any Java device. This is so because these languages are represented by more than a two byte memory space as compared to the others who use 1 or two bytes encoding sets like the ASCII, ISO-8859 series, windows-12-- series, etc. So, for now, I don't intend implementing those languages. Nevertheless, this application still supports about 50 languages. However, not all these are fully supported. The list of supported languages are listed below with the partially supported languages marked in asterisk:
1.Afrikans
2.Basque
3.Belarusian
4.Bosnian*
